Where is Pigeon Forge in Tennessee? graphic

Pigeon Forge is a town in the northeastern part of Tennessee near Gatlinburg on the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The population of Pigeon Forge is estimated to be just over 6000 permanent residents.

Pigeon Forge lies at around 1000ft in elevation (305 meters), around 300 feet lower than nearby Gatlinburg.

The town of Pigeon Forge is named after the nearby Little Pigeon River and a iron forge which was operated near the beginning of the 19th century by a settler named Isaac Love.
