Blairsville is a small town near the northern edge of Georgia in the Chattahoochee National Forest and the Blue Ridge mountains. The permanent population of Blairsville is under 1000, but numbers are boosted by visitors who flock to the area for the outdoor pursuits and scenery.
Blairsville is the county seat for Union County, an area which is sometimes known as the "Top of Georgia" as it has the highest point in the state at 4,784 feet (Brasstown Bald). Nearby Lake Nottely, an artificial lake originally built as part of a flood control program, is another attraction with its long shoreline of over 100 miles.
Similaraly to the nearby neighbour of Blue Ridge, Blairsville's location near the border with Tennessee and North Carolina puts it just about in the centre of a triangle formed by Chattanooga, Atlanta and Greenville, with the airports of Chattanooga and Atlanta the closest regional hubs.
Some of the attractions and events in the area can be found on our Blairsville Attractions page and a selection of cabins in the area can be seen below the map of the Blairsville area.
Trackrock Campground and Cabins is a 300 acre paradise of meadows, hayfields, and woodlands in the shadow of Brasstown Bald, Georgia's highest point.
Our three bedroom, 2 bath cabin is located 2 miles outside of Blairsville, Georgia in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains and is nestled 2500 ft up on the heavily wooded side of Town Mountain.
