Canaan Valley Resort is located in the Allegheny Mountains between Maryland and Virginia. The resort and conference center also offers 30 km of marked but ungroomed cross-country skiing trails.
Four lifts and 37 runs with 850 feet of vertical and with a mix of 30% beginner, 40% intermediate and 30% expert runs.

Snowshoe Mountain boasts three ski areas: Snowshoe; Silvercreek; and Western Territory and has the most extensive downhill skiing in the state. Extensive list of packages and facilities.
Fourteen lifts and 57 trails with 1500 feet of vertical and with a mix of 41% beginner, 36% intermediate and 23% advanced terrain.
