North Carolina Cabins
Cabin rental in North Carolina tends to be concentrated in the mountain towns to the north of the state.
Boone is the home of Appalachian State University and advertises itself as the "Heart of the High Country". Cabins around Boone allow easy access to the surrounding winter sports and summer activities.
To the west of Asheville, Maggie Valley has the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on its doorstep. A cabin rental here offers the option of elk-watching in the Cataloochee Valley area.
Further south the area around Cashiers near the border with Georgia features scenic waterfalls and the southern crest of the Blue Ridge mountains in the southwestern corner of North Carolina.
